Software Company v. Software Company - When a cooperative relationship between two software companies soured and a $50,000,000 lawsuit was filed, Colin was hired to defend claims related to trade secrets, breach of contract, and other theories.  Colin oversaw discovery of voluminous electronically stored information and devised strategies for mitigating the effect of the lawsuit on ongoing business concerns. 

Financial Company v. Financial Company - When eight highly-compensated financial professionals left their old company to join a new one together, the old company sued for millions of dollars and injunctive relief, based on non-solicitation and non-competition agreements.  Colin represented the new company and the individuals in the lift out litigation, advised on communications with clients, and assisted with resolving the lawsuit on favorable terms.

Patient v. Hospital - When a patient sued a hospital for $2,500,000 alleging that he had been battered by security guards, the hospital hired Colin to defend the lawsuit in federal court.  Colin first-chaired a jury trial and won a full defense verdict.  

CEO v. Technology Company - When the CEO of a technology company decided it was time to move on, Colin was hired to advise on and prepare the severance agreement.

CEO v. Manufacturing Company - When the CEO of a large manufacturing company and the board of directors decided it was time to part ways, Colin was hired to represent the CEO, analyze his non-competition agreement, and devise favorable terms for a severance package.

General Counsel - Entertainment Company - When the general counsel departed a large entertainment company, Colin was outsourced to serve as interim general counsel for an extended period.  Colin provides ongoing advice on general business operations, and how to mitigate risk while achieving business goals.  

CFO v. Sports Technology Company - When a technology company terminated its CFO, the CFO hired Colin to negotiate a severance package.
