Army vet enjoys business formation success after major setback

Many Oregon business owners can recall what it was like when they first began their journeys toward success. For some, their dreams of launching businesses or products took years to actualize due to various types of setbacks, including major financial obstacles or personal problems. A young woman in another state is currently celebrating her own business formation success after a long, hard road to the top.

The woman is a U.S. Army veteran whose dream was to launch a line of all-natural hair products. At the time, her target audience was black women. Ultimately, she expanded her brand to include men’s grooming products as well. The former network engineer developed her product line in the basement of her home.

Although she had several offers to help her “go big,” she says she didn’t feel ready at first, but now realizes she was simply afraid of success. Tragically, she suffered the untimely death of her brother, who was shot in cold blood at a family gathering by her sister’s angry boyfriend. It was a text message she had received from her brother before he died that inspired her to continue working toward her business goals.

The woman’s business formation dreams have since become reality, with Target stores striking a deal to carry her products. In addition to relying on support and encouragement from family and friends, Oregon residents trying to overcome business-building obstacles may also seek guidance from experienced business and commercial law attorneys. The woman in this particular situation has happily reported that she projects her sales will exceed $1 million by this year’s end.
